Based on my understanding, the gingko layout is structured as a tree x **card**,
which means that borders can be beneficial in separating the cards within the same column.
Not an expert in CSS, just works with this line added into my customized CSS:
.preview-container {border-bottom:2px gray solid}
Maybe in future, Lineage support 3ird party themes -- various colors and shapes of trees πΏπ΅π³π²π
