Scope

Establish a team to fully launch YFI Tokenomics and complete YIP-65.

Smart contracts and audits are done. What remains is to finalize the launch configuration, emission, and establish a roll out plan. Post launch, there needs to be processes for day to day operations, monitoring, and evaluation. If performant, prepare to make the system immutable.

This team will serve to facilitate and deepen the integration of veYFI into related Yearn protocols, and further strengthen the governance powers of Yearn's YFI holders.

Plan

  1. Write a second YIP to cover gauge functionality, oYFI token, emissions, roll out plan, and timeline.
  2. Launch the project:
    • Deploy gauges
    • Run awareness campaigns
    • Finish up the front-end interface (already underway)
  3. Set up day-to-day operations and processes for veYFI Tokenomics, and evaluation criteria.
  4. Research and prepare for transition to immutability, including full on-chain voting and gauge operations. If feasible, prepare a proposal to accompany a future funding request.

People

The aim is to recruit a small group of active contributors to carry out the above tasks.

Money

Contributor grants of YFI will be awarded on an ad-hoc basis to those critical to the completion of the plan. Any unused funds will be returned to Yearn Treasury.
