Colin27 is a good brain to use for this, as it is a standard template (IIUC, both TRACULA and AFQ use this brain as their standard space).
I think that it would be fine to add an acknowledgement/citation to this blog post. Jason: do you know how to cite the MNI template brain (that is what Colin27 is, right?)?

When we were prototyping AFQ-Browser, I grabbed the brain surface from this example https://mollermara.com/blog/brain-in-threejs/.
In fact, the header of freesurf.obj still has the line:
Created by Josh Moller-Mara from Colin 27 average brain provided with AFNI
Digging a little deeper, the Colin 27 brain comes from here http://www.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/ServicesAtlases/Colin27.
This leads to two questions / items:
- We should find a way to acknowledge Josh Moller-Mara and his blog post in the paper. It was helpful to get us started way back in the beginning. Should we add a line in the acknowledgements section?
- Is the Colin 27 average brain the one we want to use as the canonical surface for our release? Is there another canonical brain that would be more appropriate? If we do use it, we should cite it, right?
