Each team member is required to communicate weekly updates following the principles of the daily scrum meetings. Expect 1-2 sentences per item and link to relevant GitHub issues.

Finished writing early prototype README #27
Created a shared Postman workspace #25

Begin working on the backend development of the alpha release

Completed this week

Implemented the Account Entity and its corresponding AccountRepository (responsible for the persistence of Account entities)(#18 )
Created new project logos for the MonkeyPoll application (#22 )
Made visual updates to the front-end, including updating the logo to the newer design that is in SVG format, updating the PrimeReact theme to reflect the app's new theme, and adding a tagline to the Welcome Screen (#26 )

Goal for next week

Begin implementation of required entities for the Alpha release, as well as the implementation of corresponding controller endpoints
Complete any required work in the front-end (which may include displaying the user's surveys and an option to create one, UI for creating survey, etc.)

What have I done this week?

Implemented username/password authentication for the application using Spring Security (#30 )
Implemented Account Controller with /login and /register endpoints to allow a user to create an Account and log into an account, respectively (#19 )
Wrote unit tests for the Account Controller class and it's endpoints using MockMvc (#30 )

What will I do next week?

Refine authentication to ensure that sessions persist once we start adding protected endpoints
Start working on issues for the Alpha Release milestone
