Not loading now/No Error code/Did not update #205

I've been using MenuHax for a while now with no issues loading/connecting. I didn't change anything on my homescreen, or my theme, I did not update my system today, and receive no errors/crashes when attempting to load into homebrew. I press power, hold L and it boots to the normal home screen instead of hbmenu like usual. I think it uninstalled? I was using 3.0v still as I was unaware an update was out.

Playing on an original 3DS, with version 11.0.0-33E

I also attempted to just reinstall using BrowserHax but without the update I can't open the browser. Is there anything I can/should do at this point? And how can I avoid this happening in the future? Thank you for your time xx

Side note, someone told me to try the date & initialize save data trick, I realize it says it's for a previous version, but I gave it a try anyhow, with no success.

yellows8 commented 8 years ago

Probably not much that can be done unless you have a SD card backup.

BlueGirl323 commented 8 years ago

I do not have a backup sadly. I never changed anything on the SD card before it happened, though. I just went to do a save dump for ACNL and it wouldn't boot into the hbmenu.

Are there any other options at this point by chance? If not I guess I'll be on standby for future opportunities. Thanks for getting back to me!

The same is happening to me. Never updated anythig, still on 33u, yet for some reason, it doesn't load when pressing any key

HeySora commented 7 years ago

Did you tried to change system language ? It uninstalls menuhax.

JourneyOver commented 7 years ago

Stopped working for me as well for some reason...

Haven't changed themes or anything and it was working just fine last night, had to shut my 3ds down for a the night since it was low on batteries and I wasn't home at the time. Went to go load it up today and it just keeps bouncing me to the 3DS home screen instead of loading up the hbl :/ checked to see if I accidentally updated my system but I'm still running on 11.0 so that shouldn't be an issue.. I'm just at a loss on what could have caused this issue if I hadn't changed a single thing between when it was working last night and today...

Edit: and before someone says to re-install through a different entry point, I can't do that sadly since the only entry point I have/had was browserhax and well yea can't do things that way anymore since the nag screen about having to have latest firmware to use the browser, and I can't exactly go in and run cttr-pwn to get around anything since I can't boot into hbl at all, doesn't matter what button I press while my 3ds starts up..

AustinMuszick13 commented 7 years ago

If you're using an old 3ds use http://yls8.mtheall.com/spider31hax.php from sysNAND internet browser. I know it's not a permanent fix but it will load your CFW.

JourneyOver commented 7 years ago

Erm I don't have CFW O_o only homebrew, and you can't load things in the browser because of the browser nag, which you can't get rid of without using cttr-pwn which you can't use unless you can get into homebrew which I don't have anymore because of literally nothing happening to my 3ds that would of caused it to lose homebrew, but it did for some reason..
