Do NOT ask about {supported system-versions} here for *hax payload, completely wrong place for that. I am getting an error code 00001000 01fcf000 d8e17406 I have the latest boot.3dsx from smealum.github.io

Old 3ds al9h+luma3ds

fennectech commented 7 years ago

something failed 00000000 01fa1000 fffeefff

Thats after updating Also is there a way to turn off the pin code prompt?

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

I don't know, but my HBL works, you must to hold the X button when starting the software

fennectech commented 7 years ago

Rebooted now it works xD

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Nice :)

fennectech commented 7 years ago

Thanks clement95

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Now it doesn't work for me XDD

Xenonheat commented 7 years ago

Same for me except mine gives me the error: 00001000 01fcf000 d8e17406

something failed :( please report error code above.

Any help?

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

I think we must just wait, it's just an alpha release

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

But my HBL does'nt work and I don't have this error code, it just crashes and returns to Home Menu

Xenonheat commented 7 years ago

Oh mine stays on the page.

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Try this : Install the last starter kit Install Hblauncher Loader v1.3 Try to hold down X when starting software or try to start the software normally Otherwise, I think we can wait a stable release (Sorry for English I'm French)

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

If you have a New 3DS, disable the New 3DS Clock Speed option in Luma. Hold SELECT while turning on to get to the config screen

http://orig01.deviantart.net/08e8/f/2017/042/f/e/crash_dump_00000001_by_niles_prower-dayntc8.zip - I have tried to attach a file to this post, but for some reason it didn't worked out. In this ZIP sits the crash dump created by Luma after my attempt to run HBL Loader after update.

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

You have a New 3DS or Old 3DS ?

Xenonheat commented 7 years ago

How do I install the last starter kit and the HBlauncher loader v1.3 please?

ghost commented 7 years ago

Get the starter kit from http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ and use a CIA installer (like FBI) to install the latest CIA.

yellows8 commented 7 years ago

Do not use any "CFW" force-L2-cache option.

TLNiles commented 7 years ago

I am using 2DS, so it's Old 3DS, basically. This crash dump was created on very first boot, second time it was successful, and on 3rd attemp the hax failed to apply without actual error to be shown nor crash. Right now I tried to load again, and it worked, but I don't know exactly what happened the first time, so I though that crash dump from there would be useful. I guess it's hax payload that is somewhat unstable as of now. Also, I'm not sure if I'm using any force-L2-chache option.

qixils commented 7 years ago

@TLNiles force-L2-cache is for N3DS only, so your issue wouldn't be caused by that.

Zidapi82 commented 7 years ago

Thanks @yellows8, disabling L2 cache has solved this problem for me. Is this a temporary fix, or a permanent obstacle we'll have to deal with if we want to use HBLL on 11.3?

yellows8 commented 7 years ago

latter

jakem72360 commented 7 years ago

Disabling N3DS Clock and L2 Cache in Luma settings fixed the issue for me. Would also recommend installing hblauncher_loader v1.3 and the latest homebrew starter kit as mentioned above.

kane159 commented 7 years ago

@yellows8 00000000 01fa1000 c9400002 something failed please try again with wifi enabled how can i fix this?

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Delete the folder "hblauncherloader" in the root of your SD Card and try again

lincruste commented 7 years ago

Hello, I'm experiencing the exact same issue: "something failed 00000000 01fa1000 fffeefff"

Config: O3DS 11-3-0-36-EUR Latest Luma3DS (hourly) Latest FBI Latest Homebrew Launcher 1.3 CIA

Important: the homebrew launcher CIA does work with wifi ON, however it displays the error message when it's offline. I've already tried to delete the hblauncher directory on the sdcard root and I've also tried to manually copy and renamed the latest ropbin on smealum's website. I'm lost.

lincruste commented 7 years ago

Oh and I did start the hb channel with X pressed.

Zakky95 commented 7 years ago

Hi Guys, Getting the below when launching homebrew,

0052e000 01200000 fffeefff

Something failed :(

Fresh downloads of starter, soundhax m4a and otherapp, Any ideas?

Zakky95 commented 7 years ago

Resolved the issue, Downloaded the starter pack, otherapp, sound hax m4a and ropbin file, Launched from DS sounds and it worked, Only thing that was done different from the original was adding the ropbin too, ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Kpolupo commented 7 years ago

Hello, I am getting the error code 00000000 01fa1000 c921081a Something Failed :(

How do I fix it?

cristiannomartins commented 7 years ago

Getting the same error as Kpolupo when I try to launch homebrew. And since the guide said we could update the system, and 11.4 apparently fixes soundhax, I'm not being able to launch it through sounds either =/

prkiso commented 7 years ago

See #66 for o3ds

Z4CH4R13 commented 7 years ago

for all of you with problems on 11.4 with the hbl cia, you can download the 11.2.0-35U payload. and put it in your hblauncherloader folder, and rename it to OLD-11-4-0-37-USA.bin. it should work.

fennectech commented 7 years ago

Oo thankies :+1:

Qmiaowww commented 7 years ago

I keep getting error code 00000000 00530000 c921081a And I don't have hblauncherloader folder in my 3ds folder(:зゝ∠) If someone knows these errors could help me out....QAQ

Qmiaowww commented 7 years ago

btw My 3ds is an old one... I tried to run doodlebomb from my old 3ds and keep getting the errors above..

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

our O3DS is on 11.4 ? Go to https://smealum.github.io/3ds/ and download the 11.2 otherapp payloads, add a new folder to the root of your SD card named "hblauncherloader" and put the payload in, rename the payload to "OLD-11-2-0-EUR.bin" if your 3DS is EUR, for JPN and USA "OLD-11-2-0-JPN.bin" "OLD-11-2-0-USA.bin"

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Sorry "OLD-11-2-0-34-EUR.bin" "OLD-11-2-0-34-JPN.bin" "OLD-11-2-0-34-USA.bin"*

Qmiaowww commented 7 years ago

Thank you for responding me! My old Japanese version 3ds is currently on 11.4 system and I've tried the method provided by @TheKing0fArkham: go to https://smealum.github.io/3ds, select OLD 11.2.0-35U, download otherapp, and save it to sd_card/hblauncherloader/OLD-11-4-0-37-USA.bin. And now I get the error: "failed to locate takeover object." I will be very appreciate if there is anyway to solve this!

Z4CH4R13 commented 7 years ago

Do u have boot.3dsx on the root of ur sdcard?

Z4CH4R13 commented 7 years ago

And i has to be renamed using your 3ds version, so rename it to "OLD-11-4-0-37-USA" where USA is your 3ds region.

Z4CH4R13 commented 7 years ago

It*

flobeier commented 7 years ago

I had the some problem. Downloading the 11.2 otherapp-payload and renaming it to my current system version as described above plus putting the boot.3dsx in the root of the sd card fixed it.

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

Qmiaowww I think you must to select OLD 11.2.0-34J, download otherapp, and save it to sd_card/hblauncherloader/OLD-11-4-0-37-JPN.bin.

Qmiaowww commented 7 years ago

@Clement95 @H4ndl3 @Z4CH4R13 Thanks a lot guys!!! Finally helped me out!~! I'm so happy with it!!! OMG!

Clement95 commented 7 years ago

You're welcome ;)

Z4CH4R13 commented 7 years ago

@Qmiaowww no probs m8!

Thetruegold commented 7 years ago

Everytime i try to use doodlebomb and load homebrew it says failed to locate takover object any ideas on how to fix it?

jamesjguthrie commented 7 years ago

Just adding my experience. Hacked my 2DS following the guide, updated to 11.4 EUR and HBL didn't work. Downloaded the 11.2 payload and now HBL works.

shrwnalvr commented 7 years ago

What @Z4CH4R13 said worked on my 2ds. Thank you so much. I've been having problems about my Homebrew since I used CFW 'coz Homebrew's not working. :D Job well done.
