Remove Google #810

Would you be willing to remove this Google Analytics 'functionality' from this website? There are better alternatives if you must keep tabs on users' activity. Some reputable alternatives can be seen here: https://switching.software/replace/google-analytics/

I have removed Plusone and Google+ integration, as they are both dead platforms...

I'm okay with removing google+ and google analytics (we indeed didn't really keep tab on the traffic.)

But I don't really see the point of switching the CDN or removing google analytics reference in the documentation. insights is still a standalone tool and part of the Yeoman cli, I think the documentation to make it easier for users to get started is relevant.

This script is installed globally as an alias _yeomaninsight to prevent users from a.) seeing the script via auto completing "yeoman*" and b.) mitigating running the script directly. The script is responsible for collecting, stashing, and sending usage data to Google Analytics.

Could you talk to me more about this? Does it provide support for alternative analytics systems?

or removing google analytics reference in the documentation.

I actually agree with this. Apologies.

But I don't really see the point of switching the CDN

A lot of mainstream browsers send a Referrer header when requesting JavaScript resources, so Google would still be able to measure the popularity of a page by the CDNs.
