New Tab gesture sometimes opens 2 tabs #621

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Log in via https://gmail.com
2. Execute 'New Tab' gesture

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: One new tab will open
Actual output: Two new tabs open

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Chrome: 19.0.1084.52 m
Windows 7 sp1
Smooth Gestures: 0.15.4.13

Please provide any additional information below.

This problem does not occur all the time. Occasionally a page refresh will fix 
it, but not always. I cannot confirm whether or not it occurs on pages other 
than Gmail.
