Tab Bar Scrolling Partially Broken In 53.0 #152

Open Doug7070 opened 7 years ago

With the 53.0 update I have encountered a new bug relating to scrolling of the tab bar when there are more tabs than fit on a single page. The issue occurs when I attempt to scroll the tab bar beyond the point where the active tab is visible. The smooth tab scrolling animation plays, but immediately snaps back to the original position as soon as the animation finishes or I attempt to scroll again. Currently the only way to scroll across large tab bars is to select a tab nearer to the end you want, then scroll across and repeat until you reach the desired tab.

Any fix or workaround would be greatly appreciated, as the issue is quite annoying to work around.

Well.. I also have this issue and quite of sorted out one way that causes this... If "[Close Tab] button" is set to "On pointed tab only" as it seems like the mouse detection makes Firefox to refocus the current tab.

But even though changing that to "(Browser default)" fixed it for my test case, it's still bugged in my real use case for some reason...

I also have this issue on multiple machines. The (Browser default) option nor any of the other fix it for me.

As I use this constantly the only option I had was to temporary disable the add-on then it works fine but I lose the quick close button ofcourse.

Same problem for 53. and 54.. I've 'solved' it by reverting to 52.0 which is fine but I can't prevent the system automatically updating from time to time to the most recent version which forces me to spend time uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling 52.0!
