The main reason is that when something is unreachable (especially for the new users), be that normal Ygg addresses or more probably CKR (Crypto Key Routing) connections, there is no signs about what happens, where the packet went and never came back again.
As @Arceliar mentioned:
just try to keep logs out of the hot path when things are successful, since there's a non-zero cost even when logging is disabled.
