It's due to a script error which contains a function without content.
I wanted to check and see if this script error has been corrected. Thanks
Hi,
I'm working on the project and now I have a working Kali for Odroid C1. Now we can login to the system and start a X window. There're some issues to be solved though.
Since the Odroid C1 needs config the hardware, you have to check the file boot.ini in the first partition of your SD card. Such as the display setting, you have to adjust it for your monitor. For example, I leave the settings to its "official" defaults, and I have to adjust the values after I burned my SD card:
setenv m "1024x768p60hz" setenv vout_mode "dvi"
for my old monitor with DVI port.

Understood, but I am getting the same issue with files not being found after they are downloaded. Pretty much the same as above.
I think you need to:
and then try again.
I used a seperate ubuntu 14 VM to test the script and it generated a working image.

Hmmm, I actually just rm -rf arch-kali-odroidc1 folder completely and then cloned the git again and then tried to run it again. Is there a cache that is not in that folder that could cause issues?
Nope. All of the files are in the source folder. Acturally, I use global cache folders for srcdst, fakemakepkg-git, and src/apt-cache-kali-armhf for my build. You'd better to paste the log message, so I can take a look what's happened.

It's a very weird log message. the folder is not exist: /home/dade/odroidkalic1/arch-kali-odroidc1/src/kali-arm-build-scripts-git it seems git checkout return failure. You need also check the /srcdst, which is the source code repo cache, make sure it's correctly created. The last failed build may leave a broken srcdst dir.
Here's the contents of my srcdst/: apt-cache-kali-armhf firmware-linux-git gcc-linaro-arm-linux-gnueabihf-4.9-2014.09_linux.tar.xz gcc-linaro-arm-none-eabi-4.8-2014.04_linux.tar.xz kali-arm-build-scripts-git linux-hardkernel-git uboot-hardkernel-git
if possible, please also remove the srcdst. The other dir "src" is a working folder for compiling, which basically is a copy of the srcdst/,
I only have: kali-arm-build-scripts-git linux-hardkernel-git

you need also run

All of the Git / Wget commands that you sent worked fine. Any thoughts on why they didn't work when using the runme script.

I am getting similar error (uname -a): Linux kali 3.18.0-kali3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.18.6-1~kali2 (2015-03-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux

vchekan, Can you please post the information of the system you used? For example, which OS(iso download link) you installed, what the status of your system (did you update to the lastest version)? git version etc.
I can't get the problems your guys point out (I tested in Ubuntu 14.04, Kali 1.1.0, Arch linux, and all works), so I need a environment as the same as yours. Or can you please prepare a clean VM that has the same problem so I can download?
Thanks!

Interestingly enough, I removed the --no-checkout from the file specified but it's still throwing the same errors as above. I'm not sure, it might be a syntax problem.
Based on commit do you know what changed shortly before my first post? On Mar 13, 2015 10:44 AM, "Yunhui Fu" notifications@github.com wrote:

@yhfudev my linux is vanilla Kali from official download link: Linux kali 3.18.0-kali3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.18.6-1~kali2 (2015-03-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux
I suspect the problem is makepkg/fakemakepkg My linux does not have makepkg. Does yours? Because mine is Debian and yours Arch Linux. @cyrus104 what about you?
vadim,
I wrote fakemakepkg to simulate the makepkg in other linux distribution other than Arch, specifically, it's fakemakepkg/makepkg.sh, So don't worry about the absence of makepkg, we have makepkg.sh :-)

Hi,
I found the where's the problem. The problem was cause a weird bash bug. I'm sorry I didn't find the problem because of using source code caching.

In the process of testing it now, will close this issue soon as I find out.
Thanks again
It's now building but goings a few other issues that I will open.
I just updated and on attempting to rebuild an image, I removed the directory did a fresh clone and am getting issues with files and folders not existing.
