SVN+SSH repos don't work without using ssh public key authentication

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add an SVN+SSH repository to svnX
2. Try to open it

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is the contents of the repository/log information.
Actual output is a popup that says "svn: Network connection closed 
unexpectedly".  Also the program spits out the following on the console:

2010-08-17 10:19:56.292 svnX[10178:903] Error while parsing log xml: The 
operation couldn’t be completed. (NSXMLParserErrorDomain error 5.)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
svnX v1.2
Mac OS X v10.6.4

Please provide any additional information below.
Our ssh server is not setup to work with public key authentication so I need 
this to work without using public keys.  Is there any workaround?  I was able 
to get it working in CornerStone.

Have you searched for SSH in the svnX help?
Have you reviewed issues 67 & 96?

Ignore the 'Error while parsing log xml' it just means there wasn't any XML to 
parse.
