They didn't have an npm package for dss-interfaces, but more than a year ago Brian had asked for one. I wanted it to stop serving them from our packages, so I created the npm package for them.
And now yield-utils is a tad cleaner, and further integration with MakerDAO, if we make them, they will be cleaner as well.
