I'm not sure if yigolden already got in touch with you but I have created a fork of this repo OpenSlideGTK which improves upon OpenSlide.NET by making it .NET8 compatible and fully cross platform, working on MacOS as well. I would love to work with you incase you still need help. Here is my email erik.repo at outlook.com.
