showing a slide in fragments increases the slide number #15

I would like to see the number 5/.. in all the four "slides". This is the default in Beamer at least. I'm not sure if this is a bug here or the desired behavior, but it'll be nice to have the option to not increase the slide number.

I have noticed this myself and definitely agree with you that these slides should share the same page number. You need to file a feature request to remark.js (https://github.com/gnab/remark/issues), though, since these page numbers are generated by remark.js and I didn't touch them in xaringan.
