Any chance that you'll port this over to Yii2?

The main problem is, that in yii2 the 'formbuilder' is cancelled. I have the idea to port in two steps:

  1. Add a custom 'itemView' for the multi-model to yii1 version, that allows to use mmf without the formbuilder features and allows custom item views to clone. This is useful for yii1 too.
  2. Port to yii2

But sorry, all my current projects are in yii1 and I have no time the next months. I hope this work can be started at the beginning of 2015.

Actually, Yii2 relies even more heavily on a major supplier of extensions named Kartik-V (http://demos.krajee.com). Kartik has something called Builder (http://demos.krajee.com/builder) which is comparable to the Yii 1.1 FormBuilder. You might be able to extend that when you get a chance to work on it.
