why isn't there any english speaking person on the Yii youtube tutorials?

You can be the first one ;) Ask on the forum also, since this tracker is for fw bugs/issues.

@Ken-Albert which ones exactly? I'm not aware of any officail ones.

well, I'm a beginner, but every time I want to search for some videos (since I prefer following instructions by video and seeing them work, instead of reading a bunch of instructions and then they don't work)... I either find them in Chinese or Spanish.. and I don't speak any of that..

There are some official screencasts: http://www.yiiframework.com/screencasts/

It took months for Jeff to actually make these so for now we've decided to spend our time on Yii2 code and Yii 1.1 releases rather than screencasts. It may change with Yii2 release though.
