USB 2.0 Headers #1

Closed cjazinski closed 4 years ago

cjazinski commented 4 years ago

I'm trying to follow your guide as much as possible and I can't seem to get my Fenvi T919 bluetooth/Wifi card to work. Wifi works great. It is using a USB 2.0 motherboard header but I don't see that you have those mapped out. I was wondering if you've been able to use these headers or if you are by chance using a bluetooth card.

cjazinski commented 4 years ago

Solved the issue. Looks like I needed to use USBInjectAll_v0.7.5_z490-p.kext in order to get the USB headers on the motherboard to work. After using that to inject I was able to successfully see stuff using the headers (in my case bluetooth). I then mapped the ports and all seems to be working well on the Wifi/BT side.

yilmazca commented 4 years ago

I could not return because I am busy sorry.. I'm glad you solve the problem.

What ports did the card show up under? I am not seeing it in Hackintool and I cannot get Bluetooth to work. On Windows, it appears to be working. How did you map the port (which category)?

I have same problem with BT, Could you please let us know where to get the UsbInjectAll_0.7.5_z490-p.kext

Thanks in advance

Okay, I found the kext online. I put it in my Google Drive. Place it in your Kext folder and do an OC snapshot with OpenCore (propertree) and it should work now. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bEDtsjb6WnMoOCBUYsv5KIAGF6f1fLSv?usp=sharing

You are welcome. One thing I ask is do USB 3 external drives work for you with that kext. It does not for me, until I throw my original USB kext back into it. Then I cannot get Bluetooth working.

Hmm, is there something you modified in regard to USB in your config? I am trying to figure out why with that kext it ruins the external drives.

ozbenwoo commented 3 years ago

I don’t know how do you use this kext. What I did like this. 1) put the kext in EFI kext folder, reloaded the config.plist. Reboot 2) after reboot, use the hackintool to show all USB ports, then plug in an usb 3 to all USB ports, so you can find out what ports are working. Then choose what ports to use, you can only use 15 USB ports, delete some ports you don’t need. 3) export the USB ports from hackintool, it will produce 3 files, USBports. Kext and other two file for ACPI. 4) replaced USBInjectAll with generated USBports.kext. Put other two files in ACPI folder. 5) update the config.plist with ProperTree. Reboot.

If you have same motherboard, and need these files please let me know. Good luck.

PS. Remember to set USB limit to NO in kernel quirks when use USBInjectAll, set it to YES after replacing it with USBports. Kext

I never have used the ACPI portion. I do get the mapping though. Could you screenshot your USB mapping so I can compare, or upload the kext?

I attached the USBPorts.kext and screen capture of my mapping, it just for my purpose, you may use different ports.

Okay, I found the kext online. I put it in my Google Drive. Place it in your Kext folder and do an OC snapshot with OpenCore (propertree) and it should work now. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bEDtsjb6WnMoOCBUYsv5KIAGF6f1fLSv?usp=sharing — You are receiving this because you commented. I never have used the ACPI portion. I do get the mapping though. Could you screenshot your USB mapping so I can compare, or upload the kext?

I attached the USBPorts.kext and screen capture of my mapping, it just for my purpose, you may use different ports. I am not seeing the screenshots. I am having a hard time finding which port the Bluetooth is on to set to internal.
