What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a large image ( Digital camera image ~ 2mb ) in Flex
2. Use the JPEGEncoder.encode method to encode the loaded image at it's
full size
3. Watch your AIR app hang as it does it!
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd expect the AIR app to continue functioning, instead it goes into
Windows "Not Responding" mode and looks as if it's crashed! Then it comes
back and has worked.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using the latest version of the product on Windows Vista.
Please provide any additional information below.
It would be really useful for this to encode synchronously and have the
ability to add event handlers to listen for when the encoding is in
progress and has finished.
