Camera rotation problem #278

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I installed imsdroid on my two android phones.
When I call other phone with video. But the other phone the video is rotated 90
degree.
How can I fix the problem.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The video sent is a mirror image of what it should be when using the front
facing camera. I would expect that the remote video is rotated 90 degree. If I
using the rear camera, the reomte video is rotated -90 degree.
Note that if you use the rear facing camera that this does not occur.

Devices tested: Android 2.3.2; Sony Ericsson Mt15i

This happens to me using android-ngn-stack for almost all devices I have
tested. It seems that using setProducerRotation I can only get it to be either
showing at 90degrees or upside down.

the setProducerFlipped has no effect.

Currently on Latest SVN version.
Here are my changes since updating. All calls are to an iPhone 4S running iOS
5.0 with ios-ngn-stack

Test devices:

HTC Evo 4G - Camera rotation is perfect for both Preview and sending Video
T Mobile MyTouch 4G - Camera rotation is perfect for and sending Video, but
Preview is rotated 90degrees

HTC ThunderBolt - Camera rotation is perfect for both Preview and sending Video
Droid Charge - Camera rotation is perfect for sending video, but preview is
rotated 90degrees.

Any ideas?

Verizon

@Matt
The problem is Android fragmentation.
This is the line to change for the preview orientation:
http://code.google.com/p/imsdroid/source/browse/branches/2.0/android-ngn-stack/s
rc/org/doubango/ngn/media/NgnProxyVideoProducer.java#366
You can put static rotation values for these devices. Use Build.model to check
the right model
One question: What is the Android version?

Thanks for your reply.

This code works fine for changing the preview orientation, where is the best
place to change the outgoing rotation?

My issue is resolved for above devices, only issue I have now is left with
Samsung Nexus S.

On this, picture in Picture in Picture is perfect, however sending video out is
upside down.
