Please describe the feature you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?
When dealing with textures in the viewport that exceeds the video memory on the machine, Maya either crashes or displays the textures as grey.
Since the code renders the viewport offscreen, we are essentially getting double or more memory load due to having more viewports.
How would you imagine the implementation of the feature?
Ideally the machine video memory would be considered before playblasting and either validated or adjusted during extraction.
FYI autoclamping does not work while playblasting offscreen.
Are there any labels you wish to add?
