Pointcache: Alembic export sometimes includes full scene instead of instance members only

Current Behavior:

There appears to be some inconsistent behavior on the "export selection" behavior of the Alembic export where sometimes it include the full scene in the export instead of only the members of the instance.

The issue sounds oddly similar to this Cinema4D bug described here.

We could try the workarounds described there.

Expected Behavior:

It should include only members of the instance.

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Publish pointcache but have other geometry in scene not part of the instance.
2. The published product sometimes includes ALL geo from the workfile.
