jpegs assumed to have "jpg" extension #111

The makefile assumes that jpeg files have the extension ".jpg".  If I have an 
image with the extension ".jpeg", then I get the error:

make: *** No rule to make target `P1030410-3x2.jpeg.pdf', needed by 
`presentation.pdf'.  Stop.

I think I might be able to actually fix this on my own.  Would you like me to 
submit a change directly to the repository, or should I post a patch here on 
the issue tracker?
