Wall paper hack does not crop the wallpaper on the lock screen #124

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set background to non-repeating pattern, such as a photo of a tree.
2. Put the phone to sleep
3. Press power button to awaken the phone. Observe the background.
4. Slide to unlock
5. Observe how the background shifts down from the lock screen to the actual 
desktop/apptop

What do you see?
The background image shifting down.

What did you expect to see?
A smooth transition from the unlock screen to the desktop/apptop.

Unlock Screen's Wallpaper is not cropped correctly.

Its as if the lock screen thinks that the status bar has been disabled (even 
though its not) and renders the background image on the whole screen, which is 
then overlapped by the status bar.

Attaching better screen shots.
If you flip back and forth between screen shots, you can notice the difference.

also thought I would add this issue doesn't occur if you choose to hide the 
status bar in the screen preferences

Ignoring the problem by choosing to do so, doesn't seem to be a solution to me
