glib not found on macOS #10

Trying to install the executable on macOS (Sonoma, on M2 chip) and I get the error:

checking for gobject-2.0 version (>= 2.12.0)... no (nonexistent)

glib/gobject is installed and working, but somehow ruby cannot find it. I never use ruby, and I cannot find any solution online. Do you have a guess what I could do to fix this?

Hi. I might have had a similar problem when I was using macOS to develop this app, but I cannot recall how I solved it now. This Stack Overflow page might be helpful, though:
