NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE when connecting to Mac #193

When trying to connect to an SMB share on a Mac Mini, I get the message "c000006d: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE".

I have tried to set user name and password to something valid, tried to make the share accessible for all and leave user name/password blank/different protocol level and LMCompabilityLevel. Same result.

It works fine connecting to my NAS.

Tried to get the output from the log in Chrome, but it is empty even though I set 'Log level' to 'Trace'

I see the same exact behavior.

I've had the same problem

Any updates on this? I'm getting the same error when trying to connect to a Mac OS X Server running 10.11.5, with LM Compatibility set to 3 (which I need to do for Windows Machines to be able to connect).

Thanks!

Also like the OP I'm getting "c000006d: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE" from a Mac Mini. Also I can't get the error messages from 'Error' or 'Trace' and they are now spotty from using default 'Info' also.

Same issue for me. I saw the #109 fix thread but I'm not having any luck with the latest 2.6.3 version.

The search option detects my Mac Mini just fine and sets the IP correctly. I've added a new short name user to test and get the same error. If I mistype the user or pass I get a connection refused as I would expect.

I can not set the LM Compatibility, the up/down toggle doesn't work and it glitches to either 0 or occasionally 1 or 2 but I can't get it to change manually. Different issue but noting it.
