Open Talek44 opened 4 years ago

Describe the bug Reaper not recognize the VST Magical 8 bit Plugin 2 on Windows 10. To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. New project
  2. Insert New track
  3. Add FX windows
  4. Vst3i > No Magical Plug 2 appeared

I tried to add vst files in many customs path and rescan folder with VST option’s preferences of Reaper but nothing change...

Expected behavior I would like use it on a midi track as a VSTi. On my Macintosh it’s work very well.

Your environment (please complete the following information):

Additional context I haven’t got no other musical program like reaper and Magical 8bit Plugin VSTi on this computer.

I'm aware about this issue. In some environments VST3 cannot be recognized. Can you check if Reaper can recognize other VST3 plugins or not? In my environment, no. It didn't recognize some VST3s.

Honestly speaking, this is why I decided to distribute VST2 as well in spite that Steinberg wants to wipe VST2 out.

Vst3 of others companies work fine for me. I’m okay to have magical plug 2 on a .vst if this is an issue more easy to you ^^. .”vst3” is not important for me! It’s your new interface the cool thing!

I just wanted to mention that I have the .vst3 working fine with my REAPER v6.11 install. Thought this info might be helpful!

Good news! I'll test it by myself and then close this issue if it works.
