Please read the section again and explore some of the links. GPC is not the same as Do Not Track. I have explained this elsewhere.
Unlike Do Not Track, GPC actively changes site settings. I have observed sites altering their settings after receiving the GPC signal.
GPC is also legally enforced.
The "Securefox" script disables GPC (i.e. "Do not track"), with the sole purpose of reducing tracking. The only argument going for it is that it's "honored by some top ranked sites", without acknowledging the fact that it's abused as a way for fingerprinting on many sites as well. Most people use content blockers such as uBO anyway, which block most trackers, so GPC isn't providing any help.
