Stuck on black screen after booting the Snes9x-Euphoria. #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Fresh install CF6.60
2. Copy Snes9x Euphoria files on PSP/GAMES
3. Go to Games and press X on Snes Euphoria icon.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normal boot of the homebrew. Black screen and PSP stucked.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PSP-2001 CFPRO6.60. Snes Euphoria R5 Beta3

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried everything already to see if I can resolve it. I downgraded it to CF5.0
M33 with DDCv8 using Pandora Batt and stuff, even in CF5.0 didn't work. I
upgraded it again to CF 6.20, CF6.39 and CF6.60 with the CFPRO, none of them
worked. Using some flash check homebrews, I realized I got three problems. My
IDStorage was corrupted, some "keys" for booting-exiting homebrews in the PSP
were corrupted and I got a WiFi MAC mismatch. I thought that was why, maybe the
Euphoria was not booting. So I figured that out and fix all three problems with
homebrews I found. Now my IDStorage is fixed, my "keys" are correct also, and I
have no longer a MAC mismatch (I actually played some PES2012 to verified it
and it's fine). The problem persists. Homebrew prompted black screen just after
booting it and PSP got stucked, It is necessary to remove battery to reboot the
PSP device. This issue looks like it's common in the internet and most of users
(including me) tried to: Change EBOOT files attributes to read-only, formatting
Mem.Strick and recopying files, downloading several versions of the homebrew,
even different similar homebrews like original Snes9x TYL or some Snes9xTYL
mecm. None of them, either Snes9x-euphoria are working. All of them prompted
black screen after booting the homebrew.

Please help. I appreciate it. Thank you.

Hey I hate to bring up an Issue like this, but I have just had this issue and
solved it as well, I don't know about you but I have well over 5000 roms in my
folder so that might be related somehow, anyways all i did to fix the issue is
delete the .ini file inside the emulator folder, where the eboot.pbp is
located. It seemed to be trying to take me directly to my roms folder when that
would take too long to load or whatever. Hope I helped somehow

Hey, I'm getting a similar problem. Black screen of death upon starting any
given rom. I deleted the .ini file as suggested and now i get perfect audio
when starting up a rom (like the game is loaded and playing) but i still have a
black screen. No picture. Help!

the version i have is "1.39 Beta Release 4." this emu has worked perfectly for
several years until just recently. i haven't done any dinking around or
altering of the emu or its roms until just tonight for the first time when i
deleted the .ini file.

Hi,

I have the same problem (psp-2004, 6.60 PRO-C2).

I only have one game in my ROM folder and I've deleted the ini file.

Am I the only one to have this problem? Any sugestions?

Thanks.

I found a way to start the emulator without this problem:
- First start a PSP game (i've used an ISO backup of FF2);
- Then load a saved game;
- Lastly press the Home button and exit the game.
Finaly I can start the emulator without any problem.

If I shutdown the PSP I have to start all over again.

I've tried using a different memory stick model in my PSP and this problem got
worst. Maybe this problem is related with the quality of the memory stick, the
read/write speed, total quantity of files in the memory stick, fragmention of
files, etc.
