Support for AMR audio #179

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What is the feature you want?

I would like for AnyMemo to support the AMR audio format.

How important is it to you?

It's pretty important because it will remove the need to convert the audio file.

Do you think other people also want this feature and why?

Other people will also be relieved to know that they do not need to convert an
audio file for it to be played natively in AnyMemo.

AMR audio support added. Will be in today's nightly build and should be
released with AnyMemo 10.1.

I downloaded the nightly build.

I was not able to play AMR audio.

In addition, I was not even able to play the audio after converting it to
mp3 format.

But all my other older audio still plays just fine, recorded newly or with
existing audio.

I think I know what the issue is.

The audio does not play for the question card. Because I tested it again
with the answer card, and the audio just plays fine.

I still have not tried it with AMR audio just yet.

I tested it working for both question and answer card.
Did you add the <audio src="ringtone.amr" /> to the question correctly?

Just to be sure, I'm on the latest nightly build as of early this morning.

I put the same AMR audio file for both question and answer, and when I
study the card, the question is silent, but the audio plays when I reveal
the answer. I tried playing it with both automatic speaking, and manually
calling for the cards to speak.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Yeah, there was something I was doing incorrectly: I had disabled the audio for
the answer card. I'll try to be more astute next time, my bad.
