Function suggestion: assign users to activities #96

Suggestion from an AidStream user:

Our organisation wants to create multiple user accounts for the different project officers, so that they can all enter information about their own activities. Is there any way to ensure that users can only edit a subset of the activities entered into AidStream (namely the activities they added themselves)?

Need to think/discuss about this for the new one as well. Need to have use case for this.

@stevieflow we discussed this one and weren't sure if the business case was currently strong enough to include and in fact might not be a good thing for many other organisations. Do you have any additional information that you can add with regard to why the organisation you were working with wanted to tie the access down? Thanks

Hi @iatisupport @anjesh sorry - I cant quite recall who / how this was suggested!

Maybe just put this on the backlog, rather than close it?

Hi @anjesh @iatisupport I think this could be a use case with demand, perhaps around federated organisations. Would it be considered for action?

Thanks for the update @stevieflow and now I better understand the background around this one I think it is definitely one that should be considered for implementation. I can certainly see the value in this for a federated INGO that wants to have a single Aidstream account that is managed centrally but with delegated responsibility for specific activities to their staff in country offices

Hi, we'd (Bond) support this as an additional feature, especially as organisations start to migrate from CSV Convertor towards AidStream.
