A lot of pepople may need these apps...
So best thing is all these apps to be included, and if you don't need them you
can remove them as you have root access...

Yup. With root access you can use Titanium Backup to remove the apps you don't
need.

Please understand that the goal of this project is to have the CynaogenMod6
running on the Milestone, including the future CM versions.

Starting with 0.02 - which is the first proper release as update.zip - the
google apps have to be installed separately, as is the CM standard.

I will not wilfully modify the CM solution, unless it's necessary because of
the Milestone specifics as the locked 2.1 kernel and the limited 2.1
proprietary drivers/libraries. In a case I will want some changes badly or
encounter a CM bug, I will get involved in the official CM development and
propose the changes via gerrit review.

This is to ensure that the CM6 port for Milestone can be instantly updated from
the CyanogenMod sources at any time, taking the advantage of the CyanogenMod
rapid development.

Simply put - the policy of 'as little deviations from CM as possible' ensures
the future for this project.

Anyone is free to make his own MOD based on this project and publish it.
(Hopefully giving credit where credit is due).
