two-way recording causes beep every 10 seconds

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install a two-way recording program (such as CallRecorder)
2. Make a call and let it record
3. Both parties hear beeps every 10 seconds

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

There should be a way to disable this annoying beep.

What did you do trying to solve the problem?

I tried several different call recorder programs but none seem to work without 
the beep.

Please provide any additional information below. (/cache/logger, /dev/log)

Google searches reveal some phones had similar problems but using custom roms 
fixed the issue. This makes me think it might be a setting somewhere?

Still getting BP panics with 7.2.4f. I switched modified libaudio off and no 
more panics (but beeps are back).

It is quite strange because for me panics appear at random times, when browsing 
the net etc. but I think they may be happening after making some calls (after 
the first reboot). They seem to happen even if the recording software did not 
record any of the calls. I may be wrong, I didnt experience the issue enough 
times to get conclusive information.
