ollama is running on a separate laptop that is an hp omen with a 1050 set up as ubuntu server with the correct Nvidia drivers. it is on the same network.

while setting up "ollama base URL" it would not see it on 192.168.68.112:11434 I have a GoDaddy hosted URL that I use for my OpenWebUI working with port forward on my router pointing port 6382 to port 8080 When I change the ollama base URL to my godaddy URL it gets me past the "test if running" and the test if origins" check

Not sure if this will help, but this is what I did as my setup is similiar to yours.

I have the obsidian vault saved on a TrueNAS scale NAS I built. All folders point to it via the local IP address. I have obsidian installed on both a laptop and a desktop. They both access the same network drive where the obsidian vault is for easy syncing. The desktop is the device with ollama on it.

I went to the desktop and where it asks for the ollama IP address in the plug-in, I put localhost: PORT I USE FOR THE DESKTOP BROWSER ACCESS
