I think this filter should solve it!

theatlantic.com###paywall

Only issue, as you previously mentioned: users who aren't using an addon like Bypass Paywalls Clean will be clueless why the article isn't loading.

yourduskquibbles commented 2 years ago

@Mennaruuk I think its a soft paywall

theatlantic.com###paywall Tested and just adding the scroll bar back fixes it for me even after "too many" articles.

theatlantic.com##body[class*="Gate"]:style(overflow: auto !important;)

@Mennaruuk Thx for reporting, and I think should be fixed, hopefully no issues for anyone just subscribing to only ad_placeholders.txt list or modal_filters.txt list which is why I added to both sublists.

Bullseye! Works like a charm. Thanks again, champ :)

@yourduskquibbles The Atlantic is back at it with a dickbar. It comes back after refresh even after closing it out:

@Mennaruuk Can you test if that update fixes for you? Think it should but want to make sure since they seem to do A/B testing on some items.

Mennaruuk commented 2 years ago

Sure does! Thank you so much. The Atlantic is now web annoyances-free!
