Simulate windows and Preview mode in RW8 should display content in mid-edit #821

In Stacks 3.6.1 we removed the implicit behavior of finishing edits when switching to Preview mode. The reason was to avoid every export triggering a finish-edit. However the side effect was confusion when users first encounter this new behavior (or lack thereof).

The proposed fix makes edit-mode non-modal in RW8. So that text in mid-edit displays in Preview mode again.

This requires a bit of re-engineering how the Cancel button works, what content is undoable and when, and how the toolbar updates.

This bug is fixed in Stacks v3.6.3 beta 1
