Update to support Ubuntu 16.04 #2

We are planning to upgrade the host to 16.04. However, it appears that php5 is not available on 16.04 (though php5.6 can be installed.). Can you please make necessary changes so that the scripts can support Ubuntu 16.04 guests on 16.04 hosts?

I'd recommend going for 18.04 at this time. 16.04 end-of-support is coming soon.

PHP5 has reached end-of-support. Use PHP7 instead. PR is welcome.
