GNU IceCat 52: "Edit channel art" sign in broken #138
1 Go to your YouTube page.
2 Hover over the your banner and click "Edit channel art".
3 A message appear on the page saying: "In order to select an item from your online storage, please sign in. Sign in".
4 I click on Sign in which open a pop-up window with URL https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fpicker%2Flc&btmpl=popup&hl=en_us. Nothing at all happen when I try to Sign in here.
5 I get back to the same state as in step 3.
6 I repeat step 1-5 again. This time I get this message: "There was an error! Details: The feature you requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
This bug occurs in the following browsers:
GNU IceCat 52.1.2 (64-bit) -- GNU IceCat 52.1.2 is based on Firefox ESR 52.1.2
Abrowser 54.0 (64-bit) -- Abrowser 54.0 is based on Firefox 54.0
I can use Firefox 52.2.1 to upload channel art,
However, I'm posting this to help GNU IceCat as it is a wide project now based on the latest Firefox ESR version. The user agent in icecat-52.1.2 (Trisquel package) is set to (wrong) user agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0" by default so this is not a user agent issue.
Is IceCat prohibited from using YouTube in other ways?
