It would be good to show a tooltip (or something similar) while dragging a 
control to edit it.

Now implemented, except for osc shape and osc mix controls.

I dowloaded and compiled the latest version (git pull) but I don't see any 
tooltips appearing. Any special requirements that I could be missing ?

Strange, there are no special requirements.

Note that they aren't 'true' tooltips in that they don't appear while hovering.
These only appear while dragging a knob (try with the envelope controls, for 
example.)

There was a bug in there that could have stopped the tooltip appearing, have 
pushed a fix.
