it seems to go away sometimes if i deactivate the extension and reactivate, but it comes back every time i resume from suspend.

i'm running the master branch on fedora 27 with gnome 3.26.2, manually installed. i'm also using the google earth wallpaper gnome shell extension, in case that matters.

Commit this issue. The extension doesn't work correct with dinamic wallpaper changers. By the way i use "Bing wallpaper changer"

I figured out what caused the problems with dynamic wallpapers and fixed them consequently. On my machine the GNOME Google earth wallpaper extension is installed alongside Blyr and I didn't observe any white background problem during the last few days of testing. Can anyone else confirm that? My changes can be found in the master branch, so you can test them by manually installing the extension :wink:

I tried latest master version. But, at least in Wayland, this breaks the extension. I use DeskChanger for dynamic wallpapers and I had the same white background problem as described here. Now with the master version, the background is now indeed not replaced with a white one. But it is also not blurred and on top of that all animation steps that happen to transform the desktop to the activities overview are being repeated forever in the background..

I can replicate this on Arch Linux, GNOME 3.36. Extension from GNOME Extensions.
