ISP VLAN filtering will be support in next build for 1xRGMII.
1xRGMII build is better
- no WAN<->LAN race packets (best WAN/LAN isolation)
- USB read vie Ethernet is faster (used raeth from N65U with PPE speedup TX)

I seen you (Padavan) state there that the RT-N56U_3.0.3.1v-027 (en-ru).
IPv6+IPv4. Linux kernel 3.0.53. 1xRGMII + VLAN1/2. firmware is better than the
regular .027 build so I decided to install it on my 56u and I was wondering
what's the benefit to WAN<->LAN race packets are and is it built into the
firmware...I mean just install it and that's it or is their a "1xRGMII" setting
somewhere that I have to configure?
Thanks I just never heard of 1xRGMII + VLAN1/2 since you started incorporating
it into your firmware and google searches only show me this forum and firmware
downloads no information to what it all is...
Thanks again

1xRGMII means
giga-switch to CPU connected via single port. WAN/LAN streams isolated by VLANs
2xRGMII means
giga-switch to CPU connected via two ports. WAN/LAN streams isolated inside
GMAC on RT3883/3662. RT3883 cannot support two real independent GMAC - both
GMAC used common IRQ line and DMA channel. This is not good.

I'm with Crisk (comment #3), there doesn't seem to be a very clear explanation
as to what the benefit is (it'd be really appreciated if you could add a page
to the wiki explaining all this stuff in one place). Most Google searches just
bring me back here, and what little info I can find seems to suggest that these
features are only useful if you're trying to do some *really* advanced stuff.
What problems occur with WAN<->LAN race packets?
Do we really even need the 1xRGMII/VLAN build if all we have is a typical
single router/switch home environment?
Do we need to configure a VLAN or anything else to benefit from that build?
How do we even use the RGMII feature, whether it's 1x or 2x (just out of
curiosity)?

I second the previous comment (#8), I too had to dig a lot trying to understand
the differences between the two builds. A wiki page explaining the different
flavours would be very welcome.
