Describe the bug When having Thunderbird open and a new mail notification pops up, Thunderbird open. But when Thunderbird is trayed, clicking the notification does not bring Thunderbird up.

To Reproduce Start thunderbird, tray it, get an email and click the notification.

Expected behavior Thunderbird should open.

Hi thank you for your proposal, the notifications are generated by Thunderbird itself and then handled by the desktop environment . This is beyond the scope of this addon :)

Maybe you should look for an alternative notification management system, but I doubt that it exists.

This topic summarizes the subject (note he cites sources 10 years old about Unity): https://askubuntu.com/questions/335959/can-i-open-email-by-clicking-on-notification

The purpose of the notifications is, well, to notify you. Nothing else. Once you receive the notification you go to the corresponding indicator and open it. In this case you would go to the little envelope icon.

That notification is just a notification and you can not do anything else with it. And also, unfortunately, can not be configured somehow. The single purpose that I can see that it provides you ... notification.

For some people it is just a feature broken by design...
