Research biblio formats and choose one to use for storing reading info.

@yshng You probably already know about Zotero (home site, Wikipedia). There might be some good guidance in that project about bibliographic formats. My understanding -- based only on hearsay, not on personal usage, so please take this as highly tentative -- is that Zotero reads and writes the same format used by the proprietary software EndNote. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that the EndNote format is Zotero's "native" or preferred format.

Aha -- this paragraph from Wikipedia may be useful:

Zotero can import and export citations from or to many formats, including Wikipedia Citation Templates,[13] BibTeX, BibLateX, RefWorks, MODS, COinS, Citation Style Language/JSON, refer/BibIX, RIS, TEI, several flavours of RDF, Evernote, and EndNote.
