8 months ago Great idea! Yes, for sure the gadget can be extended to do that. Need to fix firmware and hardware for that too. Hardware is as you mentioned we want to have better antenna then, to “hear” all events. Could be SMA port to optionally attach an external antenna. Not sure if will need to remove the spring antenna in that case then or both antennae can work together and do not conflict.
Since The Gadget has access to the combat radio network... Could it be made to act as a barebone combat game score counter? (if provided with a good enough antenna)
Could be useful for simple combat events, maybe only digital video participants, where the full-grown Lady has been left home (or not yet acquired by the user group) - to do and present basic score count that would otherwise/previously be available on the analog system.
I know that new gen combat boards will bring MSP OSD for digital users bringing OSD scoreboard possibilities. But there will still be plenty of analog boards out there with digital users for some time. And if the new MSP implementation is not convincing enough some users (like me) might ditch the combat OSD in favor of INAV OSD.
