Remove unused and non-compiling file #254

Somehow one file is causing compilation issues but is not being used anywhere else. I just removed it.

Are you sure it's not used? The tests are failing with missing symbols from HOP.

Well that's awkward - I can't find any reference to this file in our code base, yet the tests are failing. I'm closing this, as this is clearly not the right approach.
