I cannot download playlist of Tutsplus Tutorials #12300

Why youtube-dl does not work in tutsplus for downloading the whole course. it just download the first video. I think it only grabs the preview video of any course and it does not go through the playlist

@goggle this is a course link: https://code.tutsplus.com/courses/create-content-in-wordpress-with-posts-and-pages and this is screenshot after I tried and it only downloads the first video unlike in Udemy it automatically detects all course videos capture

Tutsplus is currently not supported by youtube-dl. In your example youtube-dl tried to extract the found video using the generic information extractor. You can add a site-support request, but since Tutsplus is a pay site, it probably won't make it into youtube-dl, unless someone with an account writes an information extractor for it.

Why it is not supported and Udemy is paid site and supported in youtube-dl ?

It has free courses ( https://tutsplus.com/courses#price=free ) as well.
