I Wonder is Fragments Downloader Use single thread ?

My speed can up to 4 mb/s for download single youtube mp4 file . But if it is fragments , the speed will just 100 ~ 900kb/s . I think it's because there is only one thread for download all fragments and it will make connection | create the file | download | finish the connection for every single fragments . It will useful if there is 10 thread and each thread download 1 fragments . (something like that)
