There is a bug in the current versions of SIPDroid that mean Remote video only
displays when using PBXes.org (they do some special wrapping to make things
work on
Android).

sipdroid should communicate two way video calling without rtsp.

Actually this is possible (see RockPlayer which bypasses the native MediaPlayer
classes to play video directly from their own codec).
You can do the same thing to play RTP data (without using RTSP)... :-)

Can you explain how to do that with RockPlayer?

I have the same problem while tring video call with asterisk server.
I have M70003 MID (without camera) android 1.7 and sipdroid 1.5.2 beta. I
cann't see video in the sipdroid when the other side clicked "send video".
Note: I used 802.11g
The other side used X-lite, and tried some video codec and nothing in the
sipdroid.

I am using Sylantro Synergy Server with Xlite and can send video from Sipdroid
to the Xlite, but I do not receive video back from the Xlite softphone to the
Sipdroid softphone. This would be awesome if fixed!

Hi,
We are using Sipdroid as base platform for developing IMS client. We fixed some
interoperability issues(with IMS Core)in Sipdroid related to ACK & 200 OK
messages. Now we are able to establish sessions with another remote IMS soft
client (Mercuro Gold) and sip soft client X-Lite through IMS Core and SCC
Application Server. Evrything is going well except recieving video on Sipdroid
(i.e. on NexusOne). On remote soft clients (X-Lite/Mercuro Gold) Sipdroid side
of Video can be seen but not able to see remote soft Client side of video on
Sipdroid.
This is very important for us to proceed. We don't want pbxes.org in any path.
Can any one tell why sipdroid not able recieve vidio and display it? Any
hardware/software restrictions/Constraints? Can any one suggest any
alternatives to achieve video recieving capability with out using pbxes.org.
Thanks,
Nag Ponugoti

I am having the same issues with X-Lite 3.0 using pbxes.org (not premium or
pro) and an HTC EVO running Android 2.2 with the latest sipdroid.
The video from X-Lite does not show up on my phone. When I turn on video in
sipdroid, X-Lite 3.0 gives me an error about the codec not being available.
This happens for both the low and high quality video.

sipdroid relies on the remote streaming video to it over rtsp. not really a
standard way of doing things. sipdroid also relies on android player
functionality that generates quite a bit of delay as the player in android 2.1,
2.2 and earlier are meant for streaming video, not real time video. I believe i
read on the list that you can test video with pbxes.org.

Hi all,
Need some help from u guys. I have Sipdroid connected through Ethernet LAN to
my trixbox 2.8.0.4 CE pbx. I have installed softphones such as Ekiga, Qutecom,
Linphone in my Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop. Registration was successful for Softphone
and Sipdroid with Trixbox, and i am able to call from my Desktop softphone to
Sipdroid and vice versa. But there is some delay in audio.
I need to "send video" from my sipdroid to Softphone(running on Desktop). But
it is not working.
I have changed my trixbox settings
sip.conf : [general] videosupport=yes
and sip_additional : [100] allow = ulaw allow= h263
even then its not working.
in Sipdroid i am only seeing my local camera ( on android device ) on the top
right corner.
In my softphones only black screen was there . What i need to send video from
sipdroid to softphones ?
Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
