Boghe_2.0.121.757 - IPv6 does not work #161

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Windows XP with Network settings for IPv4/IPv6 dual stack operation.
2. Configure Identity and Network Settings for IPv6 Proxy-CSCF Host.
3. Attempt SIP Registration "Sign In"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect sucessfull registration. Get "Fail To Start SIP Transport"
on status line.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Boghe_2.0.121.757. Windows XP SP3

Please provide any additional information below.

I reinstalled the previous release, Boghe_2.0.113.744 and IPV6 is working.

not sure whether the solution is right. I tried 2.0.113.744 and I get the same
error as Fail To Start SIP Transport

IPv6 in R2.0.113.744 worked for me. The problem with this release is that
the IPv6 setting on the Network
provisioning form is not saved (Issue 148). Every time you launch Boghe,
you need to goto the Network screen (notice
neither IPv4 or IPv6 is selected), select IPv6 and then sign in.

It seems in R2.0.121.757 and later, the IPv6 selection is saved, but I
could no longer get Boghe to send IPv6 registration.

With Rockstar version, IPv6 does not work at all for me (Windows 7).
With 2.0.113.744 (and 2.0.106.731), IPv6 works sometimes, but not stable.

Logs show Boghe 2.0.113 (doubango 744) and earlier versions use ICMPv6 (NDP)
which works, while RockStar uses NBNS (WINS) over IPv4 which does not work on
IPv6 network.
