We're not doing any manual modifications to our APN XML file.
The cyanogen project is our master for the APN settings.
All changes/updates should be directed to this site
http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/wiki/APNlist
Once the correct change is in, let us know and we'll ask Jim Ancona to sync the
files with our repository.

Jim Ancona has synced the Cyanogenmod list with ours. Have you requested the
change to the Cyanogenmod list?

no,my provider is in the cyanogenmod's list with the old name (Pannon GSM). --
and with old mmsproxy IP, but it works with it too...
so, i'm just waiting for the new release
